Substrates
The substrate is the foundation of your pet’s home and plays a much more important role than just how your cage looks. It regulates your plants’ watering, promotes a healthy growth of both plants and micro fauna, maintains humidity, facilitates waste removal and allows reptiles and amphibians to dig, shelter and even lay eggs.

We export the following:

Aqua clay pebbles, Hydroclay, Leca.
Clay pebbles or hydroclay, sometimes referred to as lightweight expandable puffed clay aggregate, are a hydroponic substrate. Add water to create a natural ‘aquifer’ and increase humidity levels for all tropical species. Excellent substrate for live plant root growth in Naturalistic Terrariums. A layer underneath substrates acts as a filter that pulls toxins and bacteria from the soil and water and deodorizes the terrarium. Available in non-woven polypropylene sacks or big bags.
Coco coir, Coconut fibre, Coir fibre.
Coco fiber, this wonder material is fantastic soil additive for a living vivarium, thanks to its excellent water retention and its fluffy texture. For both reptiles and amphibians it is a fantastic substrate for digging, hiding and playing. Retaining humidity. Available compressed in disks, bricks or blocks and loose in non-woven polypropylene sacks or big bags.
Special horticultural substrate
We can also make a special horticultural substrate with a combination of 60% clay pebbles and 40% coco fibers which even improves capillary action – a process that moves liquid passively. Available in non-woven polypropylene sacks or big bags.

Coco chips, Coco barks, Coir chips.
Chopped or cut coconut husk (shell) is a premium mulching agent, great for digging or burrowing animals. It contains high quality peat with fibres to absorb more water. Use out of the bag for dry/arid reptile species, or add water for temperature or tropical animals. Our coco husk is 100% organic, safe and sustainable. It is made from sun-dried coconut shells without treatment. Available compressed in bricks or blocks and loose in non-woven polypropylene sacks or big bags.

Pinus Pinaster, Natural pine bark.
Our natural pine bark bedding is one of the most popular and widely used decorative substrates for a tropical terrarium. And not without reason, the material is 100% pure natural pine bark coming from sustainable woods, it is not resinous, dust free and heat treated to limit bacterial contamination. Regulates the humidity in the terrarium in a natural way through the absorption on the one hand and the slow release of moisture on the other. The finely shredded pieces of pine bark encourages natural digging and nesting behavior. Our natural Pine Bark is odor absorbing, biodegradable & washable and reusable. Available in non-woven polypropylene sacks or big bags.

Populus tremula, European softwood granulate.
Professional soft bedding for breeders with young and sensitive reptiles, very suitable for moist terrariums with snakes but also for turtles. This 2mm coarse granulate is dust-free and made out of sustainable untreated Popul that does not even get mold in the damp state. The product is widely used for reducing maintenance to a minimum. Dirt is clearly visible on the light color, it is extremely absorbent (3.5l/kg), deodorizing and free of harmful germs, bacteria and parasites due to heat treatment. Very quickly degradable in a compost bale. Available in non-woven polypropylene sacks or big bags.

Cork bark flats, Cork bark tubes, Cork bark branches.
We also supply quantities of cork bark flats, tubes and branches sustainably harvested from the trunks and branches of cork oak trees in Europe. The bark we supply is natural and anti-microbial, it has only been heat-treated, no fumigation or spraying with any kind of chemicals or pesticides is involved. Therefore it is 100% safe and clean for all plants, reptiles, spiders and amphibians. Each piece is raw and unique in its form as it has been cut off the cork trees.
